Paul O. Hardt, Ed.D., author of this blog,  has over 30 years of experience as an educator, trainer, consultant, and author.

He was a high school English and speech teacher for seven years in the Moundsview Public Schools (suburban Minneapolis/St. Paul).

In 1980, he leveraged his teaching talents by becoming a business trainer. He worked for a variety of companies in the Twin Cities area, implementing a wide variety of business training programs: management and supervision training, customer service training, sales training, and safety training. He helped implement one of the first computer-based training programs in the industry in which he was working in the 1980’s.

He received his Ed.D. in Training and Development from the University of Minnesota in 1994.

He is a core faculty member in the Training and Performance Improvement Specialization at Capella University.

His research interests focus on how Human Performance Technology can be applied to school improvement efforts.

He has presented papers at many conferences including the ASTD International Conference and Exposition, the TechKnowledge Conference, and the League of Innovation Conference. He has published over 40 articles on a variety of topics, including virtual teams, e-learning, and distance training.
